Pharmacy Services

Supporting the local community, Bencrest Chemist offers advice and consultation plus pharmaceutical supplies 6 days a week. Providing reassurance and comfort, our pharmacy is the first stop for health queries or concerns before booking an appointment with your GP.

Prescriptions

Bencrest Chemist dispenses both private and NHS prescription drugs plus over the counter medicines. Please either bring your doctor, dentist or even vetinary prescription to us, or else register for our electronic prescription service (see below) and we will be able to supply most commonly required medicines immediately. EU prescriptions may also be dispensed in most cases. Items not held in stock will be ordered and should be available within 48 hours maximum.

All our prescription medicines are supplied in child-resistant containers unless specifically requested otherwise and we will retain records of your prescription on file.

For customers who have difficulty remembering when and which medicines to take we also offer dossette boxes, which have individually labelled day and time of day compartments to assist with self medication. If you require your medicines to be supplied in a dossette box please ask when you bring us your prescription.

We offer a free disposal service for out of date medicines and drugs or prescriptions which are no longer required.

Our pharmacy has been accredited by the local primary care organisation to provide this service and our pharmacists have undertaken additional assessment.

All consultations take place in our private consultation room, giving our patients the opportunity to discuss their health matters in privacy.
